Thabisile Phumo

Thabisile Phumo, Executive VP & Head of Stakeholder Relations at Sibanye-Stillwater, is a PRISA Fellow with 28+ years in corporate, public, and academic communications. A former President of the Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa (PRISA) and World Communication Forum executive, she has held leadership roles at Anglo American Platinum, UNHCR, and South Africa’s Gender Equality Commission. Thabisile co-edits *Strategic Communication: South African Perspectives*, advises the University of Johannesburg’s communication programs, and contributes to global PR handbooks. Recognized among *Mining Elites in Africa’s Top 7 Leaders* (2022), she chairs Group Technical Security Management and drives social sustainability strategies in mining.
